Cegos Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co. 2015: Cegos secures a foothold in Latin America

Cegos has been operating in Latin America for some years now through its network of e-learning distributor partners, and now has its own base in Chile.This regional platform was set up specifically to help multinationals roll out their international training projects.
To cement its development, Cegos will draw on its in-depth knowledge of multinational groups, which are firmly established in Latin America.
The Group is also leveraging the complementary roles played by its regional platform and its network of partners, which will continue to market its e-learning solutions in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, among other countries.
2014: Cegos is Under renewed governance
Since June,Cegos Group has been under renewed governance. José Montes becomes Cegos Group Chairman. Under his Chairmanship, the new Board includes Annick Allegret, in charge of France’s in House Training and Consultancy Unit, Benoît Félix, in charge of corporate functions, and Guillaume Huot, in charge of the Group’s Open Courses Unit.
2014: Cegos takes over Integrata, a leading training provider in Germany
In late 2014, the Cegos Group was one of the forerunners in the consolidation of the European training market.
Its acquisition of a controlling interest in Integrata, a leading training provider in Germany, enabled the Group to consolidate its European and international leadership in professional training, and expand its expertise and range in every area of its business.
2012: Cegos Asia-Pacific opens in Singapore
2010: Cegos creates the E-Learning Excellence Awards

The E-Learning Excellence Awards were created to reward ‘multimodal’ learning systems in three categories: the best ‘Line-of-business’, ‘Corporate or Management’ and ‘Education’ training systems.
2008: Cegos launches the Global Learning by Cegos® and e-Learning Solutions by Cegos® courses

Cegos launches Global Learning by Cegos® – the first fully-integrated ‘blended’ (classroom + e-learning) solution on the market – and e-Learning Solutions by Cegos®, a catalogue of 250 online training modules.
These new products can be used on international markets and adapted locally.
With these new products and services, Cegos clearly aims to boost its growth on the international market.
2001: Cegos rolls out the first training courses that combine e-learning and classroom learning
Training programmes based on a combination of e-learning and classroom learning are rolled out in both open courses and large-scale training projects – Cegos’ new growth area.
 

From 1958 onwards: the rise of an international company
1997: Cegos sets up business in China

Cegos vastly expands its international footprint by setting up new subsidiaries in Germany, the United Kingdom, China and the Czech Republic.
From 1958 onwards: Cegos begins its international expansion with an initial operation in Spain
In Spain, the senior managers of TEA (Técnicos Especialistas Asociados) forge ties with Cegos, which becomes a majority shareholder in the company in 1960. The Group’s first foreign subsidiary is born. It is followed by the Portuguese subsidiary in 1962.
 

1926-1951: the pionieer spirit
1951: First training courses

The first training courses stem from TWI (Training Within Industry) courses held in construction workshops in Charleroi and a session organised at Peugeot-Sochaux. The topics are management controlling techniques and sales & marketing management.
1937: Creation of the corporate consulting business
Rimailho’s report on a standard method for calculating cost prices is published with a preface by Auguste Detoeuf, the founder of Alsthom and chairman of Cegos. The ensuing influx of requests for consultations prompts the cost price section to develop a range of consulting services for companies as a whole, and Cegos enters the consulting business.
The CGOST (General Commission on the Scientific Organisation of Work) is set up within the employers’ trade body, the CGPF, founded just after the war.
1926: Creation of the CGOST (General Commission on the Scientific Organisation of Work), which was to become Cegos in 1936

Its mission is to disseminate the ideas and methods associated with the Scientific Organisation of Work. Its secretary general is a recent graduate of the Polytechnique engineering school, called Jean Milhaud. He sets to work to bring this pioneering new research laboratory to life, at the crossroads of politics, employer bodies, industry and international causes.
